The Shelby County School Board will hold its work session on Wednesday afternoon to discuss several issues including the proposed calendar for the 2014-15 academic year.
On the proposed 180-day calendar, teachers are given one day each semester for professional development training.
Superintendent Dorsey Hopson will give board members an update on school closures, attendance zones, new principals and a STEM mini-session during Wednesday’s work session.
The board will meet at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the district’s headquarters.
