State releases redesigned school report card

The state released a new school report card today that includes a college and career readiness section.

The Tennessee Department of Education said they wanted to build a report card that allows parents to quickly evaluate and compare schools.

The college and career readiness section details how students at a particular school performed on the ACT and what the school’s dropout rate was.

The report card also details student demographics, Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) scores, teacher quality and if they met state goals set aside for them.

You can check out the report card here.
